Thank you for using Bank of Health!

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bank of Health website and services. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

When we say "we", "us", or "our", we mean The Good Years Project, LLC, the company behind Bank of Health.

When we say "you" or "your", we mean you, the person using the service.

Account terms

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to do this.
  • You are responsible for all content and activity under your account.
  • You must be a human. Accounts created by bots or automated methods are not permitted.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use this service.
  • You must provide a valid email address to complete signup.

What the service does

Bank of Health helps you see your health the way you see your money - as a running balance, built by your daily choices. You log (or connect a tracker that logs) your workouts, sleep, and habits, and Bank of Health shows you what those choices add up to over time, including estimates of how they affect your healthy years ahead.

Health data & what our numbers mean

This is important, so we're being very clear about it:

  • Bank of Health is provided for informational and self-awareness purposes only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • Life expectancy estimates, healthy-hour figures, and similar outputs are rough approximations built from population-level research - not clinical assessments of you as an individual.
  • Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you saw in Bank of Health.

Subscriptions & billing

  • Bank of Health is a subscription service. Your price and billing frequency are those of the plan you choose, as shown at checkout.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and exclusive of any applicable taxes; where sales tax or VAT applies, it's calculated and added at checkout.
  • New subscriptions start with a free trial, as presented at signup. A payment method is required to start your trial, and we'll email you a reminder before your first charge. Cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged - ever.
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • If we ever change prices, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice - and it won't affect you anyway: the price you subscribe at is the price you keep, for as long as you stay subscribed.
  • We may also offer a lifetime (one-time) purchase. It's a single payment - no trial, no renewals, no future charges, and nothing to cancel. It grants access for the lifetime of the Bank of Health service. If you have an active subscription when you buy it, that subscription is cancelled at the end of its current paid period.
  • We may grant complimentary access (for example, via invite codes). Complimentary access can be modified or ended at our discretion, though we'll be decent humans about it.
  • In our mobile apps, purchases go through Apple's App Store (on iOS) or Google Play (on Android) instead of Stripe. If you purchase on mobile, Apple or Google process your payment, send your receipts, and handle their own billing. Prices there may differ from the web to cover those platform's fees.

Cancellation

  • You can cancel anytime, in a couple of clicks, from your settings. No emailing support, no retention hoops. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancellation happens in your store's subscription settings instead (the app links you straight there) - the store owns that billing, not us.
  • When you cancel, you won't be charged again, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't prorate partial periods.
  • When your access ends, you choose what happens to your health data: delete it immediately, or have us hold it for one year in case you come back. Either way, you can export everything first. The details are in our Privacy Policy.

Refunds

We want you to be happy with the service. Here's how refunds work:

  • Your first payment is refundable within 14 days, no questions asked, self-serve from your settings. A refund ends your subscription immediately. The same 14-day, no-questions window applies to a lifetime purchase - a refund ends that access immediately too.
  • This 14-day window also covers (and exceeds) the statutory right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU.
  • Renewal payments aren't refundable self-serve - but if something's gone wrong, contact us at [email protected] and we'll be humans about it.
  • Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play follow the store's refund process instead Since Apple or Google handle the payments, refunds must be requested from them, through their own policies. The 14-day self-serve refund above applies to purchases made on our website.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we'll retry it and email you so you can update your payment method. If payment continues to fail, your subscription will end and your access will pause - and your health data follows the same keep-for-a-year-or-delete choice described in our Privacy Policy.

Your intellectual property

Your data is yours. We don't claim any ownership over the health data, logs, or other content you provide. You retain all rights to your content, and you can export it at any time.

The underlying platform, code, design, and methodology of Bank of Health remain the intellectual property of The Good Years Project, LLC.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Bank of Health to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Submit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or hateful
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts
  • Abuse, overload, or interfere with our systems or infrastructure
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the service
  • Resell or redistribute the service without our permission

Account deletion

You can delete your health data, or your entire account, at any time from your settings. When you delete your account:

  • All your personal data and content are permanently deleted.
  • Any active subscription is cancelled.
  • This action cannot be undone.

Limitation of liability

You acknowledge and agree that we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, regardless of whether we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

In particular: Bank of Health's health-related outputs are informational tools, not professional or medical advice. We are not liable for any decisions you make based on them.

Service availability

We do our best to keep Bank of Health running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may need to take the service down for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues.

If we shut down

If we ever discontinue Bank of Health, we'll give at least 60 days notice so you can export your data before the service closes.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know by email or by placing a prominent notice on the site. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Wyoming. If you're a consumer in the EU, this doesn't affect any mandatory protections you have under the laws of your country of residence.
